Entering a new decade demands serious contemplation.  I turned 80 in August of 2024 and, after months of reflection, feel content with what I’ve contributed–so far. Daily I feel blessed by the rare and precious times I’ve spent with people and places. My work blesses me with strength and purpose, and I’m determined to keep working full speed till I die in the saddle.

Some of my most profound experiences out in the world could only be captured in poems—my experiences were too complex and searing to be described in simple prose.  So here are some of them–I  selected these because they evoke past experiences with the immediacy of now. (I still cry in reading some of them.)
